Halo, the phenomenon, can be talked about here. Particularly its intricate plot details, but gamertags and Xbox Live parties may be shared and started here. If you're really into both Halo and roleplaying, then it'd do you well to check out Halo Ad Infinitum. Hey, it's even run by the same fine people here, well, by Avaritia, at least. You'll feel at home even though you might be on a derelict ringworld they all call Halo.

Mine would also be Combat Evolved, followed by 3, ODST, and 2. Halo Wars I don't really count; not because I don't like it, but because I can't really compare it.

I just got ODST recently - it's good I suppose, and the music is great, but it doesn't quite reach up there with the regular games for me. Perhaps the Halo series has been watered down for me now that my new obsession is Fallout 3 (orgijreog Fallout 3 is my liffffe)
I haven't played Halo Wars. I kind of want to yet I kind of don't want to. Heheh.

ODST isn't really watered down so much as streamlined to resemble the original title as much as possible. All of the frills of Halo 2 and 3 that I didn't like, such as dual-wielding, went right out the window. It even brought back a nice sense of scope and exploration, which the second and third titles hammered away.
But, by the same token, it was way too short. It's more Micosoft's fault for forcing Bungie to put it at the full price point. $60 was way over the value for the project. It started as a DLC campaign, for Cthulhu's sake. $40 would have been more than reasonable. Bungie never wanted it at full price, because it was never meant to be a full game. It was an addendum to Halo 3.
I'm glad that Halo: Reach is just taking the stuff started in Combat Evolved and ODST and turning the notch to eleven.
