Non-corporeal are a baffling mystery in Nillea. Known as the Go (literally Spirit) in Sojourn texts, many variations of spiritual beings not quite alive have been seen throughout our world's lengthy history. With their natures shrouded in history, it's hard to provide comprehensive information worthy of individual entries, so a glossary level of information will be provided over numerous beings that fall into this category.
Noragoki
Noragoki, or Loving Spirit Hound, are a type of spirit. This spirit is often on record for being known to rescue souls from the brink of death, as their energy wards off the blackness of eternity. They appear to be majestic wolves or dogs, travel in packs and are renowned for their stoic friendliness for people they save. More often than not, they find ways to lead other people to the site of their most recent rescues, giving that person a chance at life anew.
In Sojourn culture, these dogs were revered as protectors against some ancient darkness, possibly a plague or particularly foul spirit. Their general accounts of the beasts, being somewhat akin in description to the other well-natured dog-like animal, the Ifrit, lead to early transcripts translating this beast as the the Ifrit itself. Recent studies have revealed that Ifrit didn't begin to appear until after the Ancients' societies fell.
The Lost Soul
Another benign non-corporeal, these beings are the remnants of a formerly living person, tied so vehemently to a task in their past life they cling to it, continuing their duty even when the nothingness was to take them. Oftentimes, they are former guards, soldiers or servants with particular faith in their beliefs or loyalty to their work. Upon death, they remain, to further their work. This is often beneficial as these spirits can clean up and do other simple tasks.
