In any standing society, there are rules. Some rules are stupid, superfluous; some are never upheld, as important as they may be; and some are over-imposed. Societies without rules are anarchy, which rarely prove to last long. Therefore, as one would imagine, Nillea has its own sets of rules to be upheld. We would like to believe that these rules of ours are absolute necessities, nothing arbitrary, and indeed, we attempt to enforce the rules to the best of our abilities. Do not fear, though; we are an understanding and patient staff.
Said patience is not to be tried, either way.
And because we have taken the time to point out what you should and should not do on this forum that we've worked so very hard on, it is common courtesy to put some amount of effort into following our rules. They are not many, they are not difficult to follow nor read; you have no excuse to not obey them. As such, if you should ever violate one of our rules, you will be persecuted as though you were in full understanding of them.
I hope that I have made myself clear. I do not mean to sound intimidating, like I'm making a threat, I'm simply telling you the reality of the matter.
Out-of-Character and Overall
1. Content should never pass PG-13.
2. Respect everyone.
3. Speak English.
4. Don't start any drama.
5. Use common sense.
In-Character
1. Powerplaying and godmodding are prohibited.
2. Mary Sues will be stopped at the gate.
I believe that is all of them that deserve mentioning, then. They're a very common and basic rule set, and should not be hard to follow at all. Keep in mind, though, that the rules are subject to changes at any given time. You should check up for updates every so often, just in case.
And if we ever have to add a new rule because of you, we will not be pleased at all.
Now that you're hopefully somewhat familiar with our rules, get out there and start roleplaying, have some fun!
Also, all roleplay threads are to have, at the bare minimum, the following format filled out at the top of the first post. The coloured text is conditional, and the small text is describing what you're supposed to specify:
Setting: This includes time of day and weather, if applicable.
Status: Is the roleplay open for new roleplayers? Is it closed to newcomers, and only a few specified people are allowed?
Intended Roleplayers: If the roleplay is closed, who is allowed to participate? This is so the Monarchs know what posts to delete if anyone besides the specified members try to enter the roleplay.
Basic Plot: Optional. Is the roleplay supposed to follow a specific plot? Is something in specific supposed to happen? Put it here so people won't do anything to make the plot moreover impossible.[/size]
If you have started a thread in the Other board, what series the roleplay is based from is to be specified in the title of the thread.
List of taken Canon Characters:

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me or one of my fellow Monarchs.

Out-of-Character and Overall
1. Content should never pass PG-13.
At any given point, the forum should never drive away any potential players due to vulgar content. Iracundus will personally curb stomp you if you become a problem. What this means, simply put, is: do not talk about or imply anything sexual too heavily, and if you feel it is necessary, there will be a private board in the future for you to use if you cannot simply keep it to PMS; keep profanity meaningful if you must use it, but if you are speaking OOC, kindly abstain.
2. Respect everyone.
Regardless of who they are or what they do, you are to at least put up a facade of respect. Do not harass them, do not start any "flame wars," and if they ask you to stop doing something, heed their wishes.
3. Speak English.
Now, it's understandable to make some mistakes every so often, especially if English is not your native language, but all we ask is that you put some visible effort into the things you say. Don't skimp out on words just because you are lazy. If we address you with the best English we can present, it would be kind of you to return the favour.
4. Don't start any drama.
We don't play "He Said, She Said" here.
5. Use common sense.
Perhaps common sense isn't, but please, use your head. If you have to ask yourself, or anyone else for that matter, if something might be against the rules, it probably is.
In-Character
1. Powerplaying and godmodding are prohibited.
If you don't know what these terms mean in roleplaying, please read. Powerplaying is when, in essence, you take control of your roleplaying partner's character without their expressed permission. Godmoding is when your character is omnipotent without actually being so; they dodge every hit thrown at them, all of their hits connect with their target, and they know things they logically should not know. Needless to say, these things make roleplaying with you not much fun at all.
2. Mary Sues will be stopped at the gate.
Under no circumstances should you think that bringing a Mary Sue into Nillea is a good idea. Don't know what they are? "Mary Sue" is a term used to describe characters who are just perfect in almost every fathomable way- they are very good-looking, they have the incredible ability to right every wrong, and everyone can't help but fall in love with them. More often than not, Mary Sues are hardly developed at all.
And on that note, we would like to remind you that sparkling vampires fall into several of the no-no categories displayed here, and therefore are not allowed.
